**We are looking for Indigenous dietitians and dietetic students in Canada!!**

The National Aboriginal Diabetes Association is teaming up again with the Aboriginal Nutrition Network for the 2018 Your Health Matters calendar.

In the 2018 calendar, we will be featuring Indigenous dietitians and dietetic students sharing their traditional practices, tips on how they take a wholistic approach to health and nutrition, and sharing recipes. Our hope is to describe what a dietitian does, and to promote a career in dietetics to Indigenous youth.

Please submit your name and information if you would like to be featured!

We understand the fees for joining organizations that represent dietitians can be prohibitive, so we are sharing this call with all Indigenous dietitians and students in dietetics. One does not need to be a member of the Aboriginal Nutrition Network or Dietitians of Canada to be featured in this calendar.

  • A friendly reminder that the National Aboriginal Diabetes Association (NADA) is accepting submissions for our Summer 2019 newsletter. We are accepting submissions until 4:30pm Friday, June 14, 2019.

NADA is changing the theme, frequency and distribution of our newsletters to more so reflect the change, activities and harvests of seasons. We want to share your stories and information for others to read about and learn from.

We welcome submissions related to all things related to wellness of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples... diabetes and healthy-living, Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative, seasonal recipes, seasonal physical activity, kids’ activities, eye care, physical activity, foot care, mental health, food sovereignty, food security, nutrition, research, community and personal success stories with diabetes management and prevention.

Articles are accepted in MS Word format, can be up to 600 words, and can include pictures or graphics. Pictures may be submitted in jpeg format.
